What’s different
Your architect's plan already exists. Use it.
Planelico annotates your original PDF — its dimensions, scale and walls — then turns the equipment you place into a proposed set of circuits and an electrical panel.

From plan to electrical panel
Turn your floor plan into a load center fully documented, down to the panel directory
Planelico reads your rooms, their square footage and the devices you placed to lay out NEC 2023 circuits: two small-appliance circuits for the kitchen, dedicated laundry, bathroom and garage circuits, and the right GFCI, AFCI or dual function breaker for each one. You get a panel design pack ready to hand to your client or electrician.

01
Check every room
Enter the room type and its square footage. Planelico flags rooms where the NEC expects a receptacle or a switched lighting outlet, without guessing distances it cannot measure on a PDF.
Area in square feet for each room
Receptacle and switched lighting checks (210.52, 210.70)
Front and back outdoor receptacles for a house
02
Generate sensible circuits
Outlets and lighting are grouped by nearby areas, without mechanically creating one circuit per room or filling every circuit to its limit.
Lighting and receptacles share general-purpose circuits
Small-appliance, laundry, bathroom and garage circuits kept separate
Range, dryer, water heater and EV charger sized in AWG, at 240 V
03
Lay out and export the load center
Each breaker carries its own protection, and the load center is sized with spare spaces. The panel directory and the circuit schedule come out in a PDF consistent with your floor plan.
GFCI, AFCI or dual function breaker per circuit
240 V breakers take two spaces, 20 % spare kept

FAQ
Everything about Planelico
How do I create an electrical plan for my house?
Upload your floor plan PDF, draw each room and enter its square footage, then drag and drop receptacles, switches, lighting outlets, data jacks and appliances onto the plan. Planelico then proposes the circuits and the load center, and exports everything as a professional PDF.
Does Planelico follow the NEC?
Planelico designs to the 2023 NEC (NFPA 70): two 20 A small-appliance circuits for the kitchen and dining room, dedicated laundry, bathroom and garage circuits, GFCI and AFCI protection by room, 240 V circuits for the range, dryer, water heater and EV charger, and checks for required receptacles and switched lighting. Your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) may adopt another edition or amendments, so the design must still be checked by a licensed electrician.
Which breakers does the load center use?
Each circuit gets its own breaker with the protection it needs: GFCI in bathrooms, garages, outdoors, basements and laundry areas; AFCI in bedrooms, living areas, hallways and closets; dual function where both apply, such as kitchens and laundry rooms. 240 V breakers take two spaces, and the load center keeps about 20 % spare spaces.
Is Planelico free?
Planelico offers a free plan with 1 cloud project, up to 2 floors and 2 layers per floor, PDF import and watermarked export. Premium ($24.99, one-time, lifetime) unlocks the generated load center and up to 3 cloud projects. Pro, with unlimited projects, cable takeoffs, estimates and invoices, starts at $12.99/month.
Can I prepare estimates for my clients?
Yes, with Pro. Estimates and invoices are in US dollars, with a sales tax rate you enter for your state and county (labor can be set as non-taxable), your license number and company details, and NM-B cable quantities from the takeoff.
Can I work in feet and inches?
Yes. On a US project, room areas are in square feet, dimensions and mounting heights in feet and inches, wire sizes in AWG and cable lengths in feet.
Do I need to install any software?
No — Planelico runs entirely in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Your projects are saved automatically in the cloud, and you can work on desktop, tablet or Mac.
