What’s different
Your architect's plan already exists. Use it.
Planelico annotates your original PDF — its dimensions, scale and walls — then turns the equipment you place into a proposed set of circuits and an electrical panel.

From plan to electrical panel
Turn your floor plan into an electrical panel fully documented, down to the labels
Planelico reads your rooms and the power points, lights and appliances you placed to lay out AS/NZS 3000 circuits: power circuits limited by the number of points they serve, lighting split across at least two RCDs, dedicated circuits for fixed appliances, and no more than three circuits per RCD. You then get the report to hand to your client and the labels for the switchboard.

01
Check every room
Enter the room type. Planelico counts the power points and lighting points placed in each room, so each power circuit stays within the number of points it may serve, and flags rooms with nothing placed yet.
Room type recorded for each room
Power points counted per circuit (20 A: up to 20)
Fixed appliances given their own circuit
02
Generate sensible circuits
Outlets and lighting are grouped by nearby areas, without mechanically creating one circuit per room or filling every circuit to its limit.
Balanced grouping of adjacent rooms
Oven, cooktop, hot water and EV charger on dedicated circuits
Exterior items handled as a separate area
03
Organise and export the panel
Circuits are spread across 30 mA RCDs in the switchboard and presented in a PDF consistent with your floor plan.
30 mA type A RCDs, at least two
At most three circuits per RCD, lighting split between them
Standalone export or included in the full PDF

The switchboard report
A clear PDF to hand to your client or electrician, ready to be reviewed and approved.
✓Summary: standard, enclosure, key figures and compliance
✓Circuit schedule grouped by RCD
✓Numbered points to check, linked to the circuits concerned
A pre-sizing aid, not a final installation approval: cable lengths, installation methods, actual loads, safety zones and building constraints must still be checked by a qualified professional.
✓Printable switchboard labels, sized to your enclosure
✓TPS cable length estimates based on actual job routes and heights
✓Totals by cable, circuit detail and a dedicated PDF page
✓Quotes numbered automatically per company
✓Labour, materials, GST and payment terms
✓Isolating switches and RCDs added from the generated switchboard
✓Archived PDFs with version and amendment history
✓Turn an accepted quote into an invoice
✓Logo, client details and professional title block
✓Share the client project by link

FAQ
Everything about Planelico
How do I create an electrical plan for my house?
Upload your floor plan PDF, draw each room, then drag and drop power points, switches, lights, data points and appliances onto the plan. Planelico proposes the circuits and the switchboard, and exports everything as a professional PDF.
Which rules does Planelico apply?
Planelico designs to AS/NZS 3000:2018 (Wiring Rules): 30 mA RCDs with at most three circuits per RCD and at least two RCDs, lighting shared between RCDs, and circuit loading guided by Table C9. For EV charging it applies clause 7.9: a dedicated circuit with a Type B RCD and a 32 A isolating switch for a charger. Amendments and local rules must be confirmed by a licensed electrician, who remains responsible for the installation.
Is Planelico free?
There is a free plan with 1 cloud project, up to 2 floors and 2 layers per floor, PDF import and watermarked export. Premium (NZ$49.90, one-time, lifetime) unlocks the generated switchboard and up to 3 cloud projects. Pro, with unlimited projects, cable takeoffs, quotes and invoices, starts at NZ$24.90/month. Prices include GST.
Can I prepare quotes for my clients?
Yes, with Pro. Quotes and invoices are in NZD, with 15% GST or no GST if you are not registered, your NZBN and GST number, and TPS cable quantities from the takeoff.
