Custom colors for wire connections

Each wire can now use its own color or automatically inherit the color set for its layer.

  • A quick palette and a free color picker are available in every wire’s properties.
  • The selected color can be set as the layer default, including for new wires created in that layer.
  • A customized wire can return to its layer color at any time.
  • Colors are preserved in the editor, shared links, and PDF exports.

More reliable new-floor imports

Adding a floor now detects unreadable or incompatible PDFs before changing the project.

  • The PDF selected as the floor plan is analyzed and validated before it is added to the project.
  • A clear message explains how to re-save an incompatible file so it can be imported.
  • When a PDF contains several pages, the page used for the new floor can now be selected from its preview.
  • If the import fails, the project’s existing PDF and floors remain unchanged.

Every object can now be moved to another layer

The layer assigned to a device, zone or wire is visible in its properties and can be corrected directly.

  • A new “Layer” selector is available in the properties of devices, zones and wires.
  • Hidden or locked layers are identified before the change so an object does not appear to vanish or unexpectedly become immovable.
  • When a device or zone changes layer, room assignments are recalculated automatically.
  • Every transfer can be reverted with the usual undo command.

Circuit labels can be shown on demand

Each wire now lets you show or hide its circuit label without deleting its content.

  • The setting is available in the wire properties, below the label field.
  • A hidden label remains saved and can be shown again at any time.
  • The choice applies to both the editor and PDF export without changing wire selection.

Zone resizing and angle measurements

Zone edges can now be stretched directly, with optional measurements for every interior angle.

  • A new handle in the middle of each edge moves both endpoints together, making it quick to turn a square into a rectangle.
  • Vertex handles remain available for precise single-point adjustments.
  • The “Show angles on the plan” option adds every interior angle measurement to the editor and PDF export.

More reliable equipment selection and placement

Symbols can now be selected and placed accurately from the catalogue, favourites and recent equipment.

  • The same equipment remains draggable everywhere, even when it appears in its category, favourites and recent equipment at the same time.
  • Sidebar labels are no longer selected accidentally while dragging.
  • The symbol preview is centred under the pointer and placement follows its exact horizontal and vertical position, even after scrolling the sidebar.

Plan dimensions and cable takeoff for Pros

Add your own dimensions and mounting heights, then estimate cable lengths using the routes actually planned for the job.

  • Create free-form dimensions or use one as a reference to set the plan scale, with a custom colour and optional label display.
  • Set a ceiling height for every floor and a mounting height for each device, with dedicated PDF pages for floor dimensions and mounting heights.
  • The Pro cable takeoff considers the source panel, ceiling, floor, wall-chase or service-void routes, direct or wall-following paths, and floor crossings.
  • Detours, site allowance and heights can be adjusted before viewing totals by cable type and the detail for every circuit.
  • The estimate can be saved with the project and included in or excluded from the PDF export using a dedicated option.

Three new guides for planning a home electrical installation

New-build planning, electrical panel PDFs and single-line diagrams now have illustrated guides in both English and French.

  • A visual walkthrough shows how to turn an architect plan into an electrical package ready for contractor quotations.
  • A worked example explains circuit generation, panel organisation and the pages included in the exported PDF.
  • The guides clearly distinguish floor-plan layouts, single-line diagrams and panel diagrams, including their limits and required professional validation.

Hide all octopus markings in one click

All cable types and lengths shown on the wires of one octopus can now be hidden or restored together.

  • The global control is available from the source box or the properties of any wire in the octopus.
  • Each marking can still be controlled individually.
  • Technical information remains available in takeoffs and the octopus schedule.

The Pro Quote module is now a complete sales workflow, with richer documents that are archived and easy to update over time.

  • Automatically unique quote numbers for each business, private PDF archiving and version history.
  • Create amendments without overwriting an accepted quote, then turn the accepted quote into an invoice.
  • Optionally add equipment from the generated panel: protection devices, RCDs, enclosure, cables, consumables and EV charging equipment.
  • Wider editing window, fixed-price or hourly labor, detailed VAT, payment terms and signature areas.
  • A realistic medium-project sample PDF can be viewed from the preview without a Pro subscription.

Labor and installation in Pro quotes

Professionals can itemise and price every labor service separately from equipment, with calculations that match the way they work.

  • Labor & installation section visible as soon as a new quote is opened.
  • Add multiple separate services such as site preparation, removal, installation, wiring, connections, testing or commissioning.
  • Use fixed-price or hourly billing, with hours, hourly rate and a dedicated VAT rate for each line.
  • Automatic subtotal, VAT breakdown and final amount, including quotes that combine equipment and services.
  • Optional internal cost tracking to estimate margin without ever showing this information in the customer PDF.
  • Every service remains clearly identified in the PDF, archived versions, amendments and the invoice created from an accepted quote.

EV chargers now feed into the panel generator

Choose a wallbox power in the editor and find its dedicated circuit in the generated electrical panel.

  • Available power levels: 3.7, 7.4, 11, and 22 kW, using single- or three-phase supply as appropriate.
  • Breaker, cable, and RCD pre-sizing based on the charger’s DC fault protection.
  • Clear warnings covering cable validation and the required authorised or IRVE-qualified professional in France.
New featurePlanelico initiative

New home EV charging guide

A practical guide explains how to plan a reinforced outlet or wallbox before requesting a quotation.

  • Charger location, dedicated circuit, cable route and smart charging planning.
  • 2026 guidance on NF C 15-100, IRVE qualification and financial support, backed by official sources.

Quicker access to guides and product updates

Guides and What’s new links are now visible across public pages and in the dashboard.

  • Consistent navigation across the home, pricing, guides, what’s new and dashboard pages.
  • A subtle modern marker identifies the active tab at a glance.
  • Guides remain highlighted in blue on both desktop and mobile.

Cleaner electrical octopus markings

An electrical octopus cable label can be hidden from the plan without losing its technical information.

  • Label visibility can be controlled independently for every cable.
  • The cable remains in the octopus schedule and takeoff when its label is hidden.
  • New outputs automatically inherit the chosen visibility setting.

Moveable room labels

Zone names can now be moved and resized so they remain legible on every plan.

  • Move a label freely without changing the zone boundaries.
  • Adjust text size from 6 to 24 and quickly recenter the name.
  • Label position and size are preserved in shared links and PDF exports.

More reliable floor changes

Project structure changes are now saved as one consistent operation.

  • Adding, duplicating and deleting floors is saved atomically to the cloud.
  • Automatic rollback to the previous state if a save cannot complete.
  • Reconciliation for older projects whose structure and PDF files had diverged.

Flexible layers and multi-floor projects

Organise every floor with as many named layers as needed while keeping a single background plan for each level.

  • Create, rename, show, hide, lock, duplicate and delete layers independently.
  • Add floors with an empty structure, reuse layer names from another floor or duplicate an entire level.
  • Browse and control layers floor by floor from read-only shared links.
  • Export PDF files by floor and layer, with separate selections for layout, zones, wires and combined plans.
  • Optionally generate a separate PDF page for every selected layer.

Visible grid and accurate snapping

The grid now appears above the imported PDF and equipment snapping follows its visible lines exactly.

  • Higher-contrast grid that remains visible above the background plan.
  • Consistent alignment when placing new equipment or moving existing items.
  • Stable grid spacing at every zoom level.
  • Non-interactive overlay that preserves all drawing and selection actions.
