Custom electrical octopus design

Create an electrical octopus from a junction box, connect its outputs to plan devices and get a complete cable takeoff.

  • Up to 32 outputs per octopus, with a readability warning from 16 outputs.
  • R2V cables, wires in conduit, Cat 6 and Cat 6A Ethernet, TV coax, empty ICTA conduit and custom sets of 2 to 8 conductors.
  • Destination-aware cable suggestions and support for mixed outlet, Ethernet and TV assemblies.
  • Octopus schedule, output details and cable takeoffs included in PDF exports and shared plans.

Customisable device assemblies

Build two-, three- or four-gang assemblies with the exact outlets and connectors planned for the installation.

  • Combine 16 A outlets, Ethernet, telephone, TV, satellite, USB, HDMI, audio and blanking plates.
  • The block icon is generated from the selected devices so it stays easy to read on the plan.
  • The full composition is preserved in legends, estimates, electrical panels, shared plans and PDF exports.

Project history and restoration

Cloud projects now keep saved versions so you can safely return to an earlier state.

  • Automatic version creation while you work.
  • Browse project history and restore an earlier version.
  • Stronger safeguards for cloud saves and imported PDF files.

Richer and safer shared plans

Shared links now include a richer technical summary while providing stronger project protection.

  • Equipment and project summaries available directly in the shared view.
  • Symbols synchronised with the editor for consistent rendering.
  • Stronger isolation for shared project and file access.

Electrical panel generation

Planelico turns plan equipment and rooms into a proposal for circuits, RCDs and modular panel rows.

  • Outlet and lighting circuits grouped by room and proximity.
  • Dedicated circuits sized separately for the relevant appliances.
  • Distribution under 30 mA type A, AC or F RCDs with spare module checks.
  • Editable panel schedule included in the PDF package.

Room classification and electrical checks

Each area can be classified so expected equipment and circuit preparation adapt automatically.

  • Detailed room types for living spaces, outdoor areas and service rooms.
  • Minimum outlet checks adapted to the room.
  • Standardised 16 A and 20 A outlets, conductor sizes and dedicated circuits are more clearly identified.

PDF exports now match the editor

Symbols, rotations, framing and proportions are now reproduced in the PDF exactly as they appear on screen.

  • Fixed plans containing internal PDF page rotation metadata.
  • Complete symbols in exports, including push buttons, detectors and double two-way switches.
  • Removed blank legend pages, fixed page numbering and improved performance on large plans.

Optional room name display

Each room label can be shown or hidden independently on the plan and in exports.

  • Setting available directly in the room properties.
  • The choice is saved with the project and respected by PDF exports.

More than 300 new technical symbols

The Planelico library now includes more than 370 devices across 14 categories to cover the whole property.

  • Outlets, lighting, controls, heating, ventilation, network, safety, energy, water, access, outdoor and smart-home devices.
  • Consistent new symbols in the editor, legend, estimates, shared plans and PDF exports.
  • Improved search using common equipment names.
