What is a house electrical plan?

A house electrical plan (also called an electrical floor plan) is a technical document showing the position of all electrical equipment on your floor plan: outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, circuit breaker panel, RJ45 sockets, and specialized equipment.

In France, electrical plans must comply with the NF C 15-100 standard (French standard for low-voltage residential installations). This standard defines the required circuits, minimum number of outlets per room, cable cross-sections, and protection requirements.

Note:NF C 15-100 applies in France, Belgium, and French-speaking regions. Other countries may use different standards (BS 7671 in the UK, NEC in the US), but the concept of an electrical floor plan remains the same. Planelico's symbols are based on NF C 15-100.
