A home electrical panel diagram PDF shows how the property’s circuits are distributed beneath protective devices. It should make every outgoing circuit, purpose and panel position easy to find. Copying a generic example is not enough: two houses of the same size can have very different needs.
What does a home electrical panel diagram show?
The diagram starts with the incoming supply, then shows RCDs and the circuit breakers downstream. Every outgoing circuit should have a clear label such as living-room outlets, upstairs lighting, oven, washing machine, water heater or EV charger.

How do you read the diagram from top to bottom?

Good reading is not only about breaker ratings. You should know which rooms and equipment are served and find the same circuit name on the plan, legend and panel schedule.
100 m² house example: why there is no universal panel
Floor area gives context but cannot define the panel on its own. An all-electric 100 m² house, a gas-heated property and a home with an EV charger do not have the same circuits or constraints.
A useful example begins with the real inventory: outlets and lighting, kitchen, utility room, heating, water heater, ventilation, outdoor areas, garage, data and future equipment.

Single-line, wiring and floor-plan views are complementary
A single-line diagram represents each circuit with one line and shows the protection hierarchy. A wiring diagram adds connection detail. The floor plan locates equipment in the rooms.
